Great Forest of Tob

Alongside the grassland where the Great Tomb of Nazarick arrives in Overlord stretches the Great Forest of Tob, a dense and dangerous woodland at the southern edge of the Re-Estize Kingdom. Only adventurers and explorers willingly go deep into it, and frontier settlements like Carne Village serve as staging posts for expeditions after herbs and materials.

The forest has its own buried history: dark elves once ruled it until the coming of the entity Zy'tl Q'ae drove them out, and during that being's long dormancy a trio called the Three Monsters holds sway for some two centuries. In the present, rumor gives the southern reaches to a magic-wielding creature the humans call the Wise King of the Forest, a beast few claim to have seen and many are content to leave undisturbed.
