Gondo Firebeard

Gondo Firebeard is a dwarven miner, craftsman and explorer of the Dwarf Kingdom in Overlord. He has a long brown beard and wears coarse coveralls stitched from sturdy cloth and a metal helmet of the sort light infantry favor, clothing suited to the poor conditions of the mine tunnels. By dwarven standards he is antisocial, more devoted to his work and his crafting than most, though he keeps friendly relations with his colleagues. He is the son of a Master Runesmith known for the items and weapons he empowered with rune magic, an art that fell behind Tier Magic and came to be treated as obsolete. Gondo has no talent for inscribing runes himself, which he carries as guilt, but on his father's deathbed he swore to advance runecraft and find a way to bring it back. He works the mines of Feo Jera to fund that research, and the job leaves him prone to Whitesnow Sickness.
