Evil Deities

The Evil Deities, also called Evil Spirits or Demon Gods, are figures out of the New World's past in Overlord, said to have appeared after the demise of the Eight Greed Kings and to have spread chaos and destruction across the land until the Thirteen Heroes put an end to them. Little is known about what they actually were, or even how many of them there were. They are reckoned immensely powerful by the standards of the New World, and as far as anyone can tell they wanted nothing except to destroy whatever stood in front of them. Like the Six Great Gods and the Eight Greed Kings before them, they are believed not to have been native to the world. Human kingdoms were not the only casualties: countries of demi-humans and heteromorphs perished as well, and so few nations survived that era that very few can claim more than two hundred years of history.
