E-Rantel's Cemetery

E-Rantel's Cemetery is the large graveyard of the fortress city of E-Rantel in Overlord. It exists on the scale it does because of the dead of the Katze Plains, where the Re-Estize Kingdom and the Baharuth Empire meet in war, and even in wartime the two nations hold ceremonies here for those killed. So many corpses in one place gather negative energy and undead rise there at intervals, which is why a burial ground of this kind is walled and watched as a matter of course. The cemetery takes up almost the whole western side of the city's outer wall. Its own wall stands four meters high and wide enough to walk along, with watchtowers along its length and guards keeping watch in shifts of five. Inside, partitions imbued with holy magic divide the ground into northern, southern, eastern and western sections, so that a mass of undead can be closed in and handled a section at a time.
