Darkness in Overlord is the adventurer team founded in E-Rantel by Momon and Nabe, the disguised Ainz Ooal Gown and Narberal Gamma, built to gather information and raise a name within human society.
Darkness is founded by the warrior Momon and the magic caster Nabe, who are in truth Ainz Ooal Gown and the battle maid Narberal Gamma in disguise, registered at the lowest copper rank and equipped below their real strength so that no one suspects what they are.
The team is Ainz's chosen instrument for living inside human society: through the Adventurer's Guild he means to reach its information network, learn the New World's norms, and raise a name through visible deeds. The pair operate from E-Rantel as their home base, taking escort and gathering work as they begin the climb through the guild's ranks.
