Cleric

Cleric is a job class carried over from YGGDRASIL, and in the New World its religious meaning shifts from one human nation to the next. Like a priest, a cleric serves one god and works magic in that god's name, speaking the incantation aloud; between them, clerics and priests are the ones who call down divine miracles. The class is faith-based and counts as a divine-type magic caster, competent enough in melee but built around healing, summoning and attack spells, and able to cure disease and neutralize poison. A cleric usually takes hold of the holy symbol at the neck to start a spell. Most can turn, rebuke or destroy undead, demons and angels weaker than themselves, though only a set number of times a day, and clearing a large number at once is hard work. The ladder runs Cleric, High Cleric and Battle Cleric, and clerics are often hired part-time wherever healing magic is wanted.
