Chaos Zone

The Chaos Zone, also called the Chaos Environment, is an otherworldly dimension in Mass for the Dead, a side story of Overlord, opened when reality cracks and closing again just as suddenly. Those who use it to reach other worlds call it the Corridor. What waits inside is largely unknown: vaguely humanoid shadows move in the background, Chaos Beasts hunt the Contaminated Beasts, and people carried in from the New World lie unconscious among them, ignored so long as they do not move. Anyone not native to the place can do very little there, since visitors fall unconscious, an effect that reaches living and non-living alike, automatons and undead included. Because nothing there behaves predictably, decisions are left to whoever is guarding a given Crack.
