Chaos Beasts are monsters that pour from purple fissures across the New World after the Catastrophe, dissolving into Chaos Stones when they are destroyed.
Chaos Beasts are creatures appearing in the wake of the calamity called the Catastrophe.
They emerge from the purple fissures that erupt spontaneously across the regions and even inside Nazarick itself. The beasts come in many forms, from quadrupeds and sword-bearing warriors to giants and dragons. On defeat a Chaos Beast's body dissipates, leaving behind a Chaos Stone, which Momonga likens to an item drop such as a data crystal from Yggdrasil.
