Calca Bessarez

Calca Bessarez is the Holy Queen of the Roble Holy Kingdom in Overlord, and the nation's first female monarch, a fact that draws criticism and open sexism from a good many of its nobles. She is a young woman with long hair of spun gold and cyan eyes, praised as the Treasure of Roble. She is kind, and takes her people's welfare and her nation's safety seriously, and that kindness reaches further than most of her court's: she spares demi-human children, is willing to take them into the kingdom if they prove trustworthy, and has allowed one into the ranks of the elite Nine Colors. What frustrates her is her own unmarried state, with no man among the nobility she considers worthy, and the rumor circulating about her and the Custodio sisters, which she denies. She rules without underhanded methods, preferring to leave the southern nobles be rather than risk a costly civil war.
