It works as the Theocracy's special forces and its last resort, a small unit whose members fight at what the New World calls a heroic level, roughly the standing of adamantite-ranked adventurers. What sets it apart from such a team is its equipment, drawn from the arsenal of the Six Great Gods. Its black motif ties it to Surshana, the god of death, and the assignments it draws are dangerous enough that the unit carries a very high rate of attrition. Junior members wear magical masks when they go out on missions.
