Beastman Country
A demi-human nation of beastman tribes bordering the Dragon Kingdom, which it has raided for years for food and now means to conquer outright, and which the human nations to the west count an international threat.
Made up of several beastman tribes, Beastman Country (ビーストマンの国) is a demi-human nation of the New World lying next to the Dragon Kingdom. Its founding is not recorded: an unnamed beastman established it at an unknown date, and one of its cities was afterwards emptied by three Soul Eaters, which is where the story of the Silent City comes from. For years it has raided across the Dragon Kingdom's border and taken that country's people for food, and it has now put its full strength into the field, meaning to take the Dragon Kingdom outright and then the other human nations, so as to domesticate the species. What outsiders know of beastman culture comes secondhand and is uniformly grim. The human nations to the west count the country an international threat, and both the Baharuth Empire and the Slane Theocracy prop up the Dragon Kingdom's defence, the Empire out of necessity rather than charity.
