Bard

Bard is a job class out of Yggdrasil in Overlord, and bards are widespread across the New World, telling their stories in villages and cities alike. They sing sagas of heroic people, ancient places and other things out of the far past, and they carry rumor as readily as history. Storytelling is a trade to them: they tell a tale gladly if they are paid for it, and they go looking for material from further afield without much concern for whether it is accurate, so long as it holds interest. They keep guilds of their own, run less strictly than the traders' guilds, though some hold to firm rules, and experienced wanderers from faraway lands tend to have an easier time in them. Nobles complain that bards inflate the facts to fuel interest, and since one bard takes his material from another, oral tradition carries each tale further from what happened.
