Doctor Wendy Ross-Hogarth is a physician at a free clinic, and the wife of the attorney Jeri Hogarth. Theirs is an old love with a long ledger: they met in university, Wendy's paychecks helped put Jeri through law school, and Jeri proposed at a restaurant Wendy has never stopped being sentimental about. The marriage's present is less romantic.
