The Taser Rod, also called the Shock Rod, is a baton made to put a target down without killing him. A solid hit delivers a charge that knocks an ordinary person unconscious, and it does the job quietly enough to take a guard off a door without the next room hearing anything. S.H.I.E.L.D.'s STRIKE teams carry them on operations, and they turn up wherever a unit needs prisoners held or a target taken alive. Against someone with enhanced durability the charge is far less reliable, and a strong enough opponent can absorb several hits and stay upright.
