Swordsman

Jacques Duquesne, who goes by Jack, is a wealthy socialite and an accomplished swordsman. Born into the Duquesne family of France, descendants of old European aristocracy, he has never needed to work a day in his life and has spent it building a large sword collection and training with the blades until he was genuinely skilled with them. He is engaged to Eleanor Bishop, which her daughter Kate does not know while she is away at college, and he buys a book on stepfatherhood in the hope of impressing her. In December 2024 he and Eleanor are at the Bishop residence preparing for a charity gala at the Presidential Hotel when Kate comes home and meets him.
