Surtur
A Fire Demon and lord of Muspelheim, named in the Asgardian prophecy of Ragnarok as the one who begins Asgard's fall.
Surtur is a Fire Demon and the lord of Muspelheim, and an Asgardian prophecy has carried his name for a very long time. Ragnarok, the end of Asgard, is supposed to begin with him: Surtur at full strength, raining fire down on the realm and leaving nothing of it standing. Odin went out to break that prophecy before it could start, beat him, and carried off the Eternal Flame that was the source of his power, sealing it in a vault beneath the palace at Asgard. What is left of Surtur has spent more than five thousand years in Muspelheim with a ruined leg and arm, in the company of other Fire Demons and a fire dragon, thinking about it. He still holds the Twilight Sword, and the burning crown on his head carries his life in it.
