Shotgun-Ax

The Shotgun-Ax is exactly the two things its name puts together, and Alphonso Mackenzie built it because he wanted both at once. The first version was improvised: a shotgun with a cleaver duct-taped along the barrel, loaded with birdshot. The official model that followed is a proper piece of work. Its blade folds forward out of the resting position when a thrust is wanted rather than a swing, and it chambers ordinary shells or I.C.E.R. rounds depending on whether whoever is on the other end is meant to get up afterward. The edge on it goes through material an ordinary axe would bounce off.
