Doctor Selwyn is a scientist and inventor, the creator of the Photostatic Veil. The Veil is a nanotechnology mask that projects another person's face over its wearer's, precise enough to fool cameras and close inspection, and it ranks among the most prized espionage tools, used by S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and their enemies alike. Selwyn, educated at the University of California, Berkeley, built the technology that makes such perfect impersonation possible, which leaves him one of the few people alive who truly understands how the masks work, how to repair them, and where their limits lie.
