Samuel Voss

Samuel Voss is a leader among the True Believers, a community of exiles surviving in the wreckage of a downed plane in a lethal wasteland. The Believers once lived in the Lighthouse, a sealed station ruled by Kree overseers, until their forbidden faith, a conviction that prophesied saviors will one day come to deliver what remains of their people, saw them cast out onto the surface to be devoured by the roach-like predators that hunt there. Voss survived the exile and helped the scattered faithful carve out a refuge, scavenging weapons and keeping the old prophecy alive. He is a hard, practical man beneath the creed, and the years outside have taught him to treat hope and threat as edges of the same blade.
