Ruby (Auntie)

Ruby manages Saeed Fashions, a textile shop in Jersey City, and she has known Muneeba Khan long enough to know the whole Khan family well. She belongs to the circle of women the neighborhood's teenagers call the IlluminAunties, which means very little happens on that stretch of Jersey City without her hearing about it and forming a view. She will tell a girl straight out that a dress does not suit her. She speaks Urdu and English, and enough Arabic for the greetings.
