Sweet-natured and easily steamrolled, he has spent his whole life under Robyn's thumb, absorbing her lectures about shipping costs and salmonella while quietly keeping the household running. He bakes banana bread good enough that a neighbor compares it to an addictive substance, and he develops an increasingly obvious crush on Jones, thanking her for standing up to his sister and eventually working up the nerve to ask his downstairs neighbor out to the movies.
