On the rooftops of Karachi, Pakistan, a teenager named Kareem carries the mantle of Red Dagger for the Order of the Red Daggers, a secret brotherhood sworn to protect the world from threats that slip through from other dimensions, above all the Noor Dimension. Recruited by the Order's leader Waleed and trained through countless hours to earn the red scarf that masks him, Kareem fights with throwing daggers, acrobatic speed, and a steady stream of jokes. He is attuned enough to sense Noor energy when it surfaces in his city, which is exactly how a masked American girl with a glowing bangle ends up trading blows and banter with him across the roof of a moving train.
