A matched pair of Kree artifacts, forged to open the wormhole network that lets ships cross the galaxy in a step.
The Quantum Bands are a matched pair, forged by the Kree in ancient times for a practical purpose: to open an artificial network of wormholes so that ships could cross between planetary systems in a step rather than a voyage. That network is the Universal Neural Teleportation Network, and the Kree used it to move an empire around. The two bands drifted apart afterward, one of them ending up in the Temple of the Ten Rings on Earth. What a single band does for a wearer is draw on the Noor, a hard-light energy out of the Noor Dimension, and focus it into something that can be held and aimed. Together they open Jump Points, and each one costs something: the fabric of reality frays a little further every time.
