O'Connor is an FBI agent, and the assignment that puts him at the Presidential Hotel is Wilson Fisk's protective detail after Fisk is moved out of Rikers Island. He is waiting there with Doyle, Arinori and Johnson when the convoy arrives, and the first thing he registers about it is how few agents came back. Tammy Hattley pairs him with Ray Nadeem on the detail from there. A good part of the job turns out to be screens: he sits on the hotel's security cameras watching for anyone working out how to get in. His sidearm is a Glock.
