North Korea, officially the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, is a country in eastern Asia on the northern half of the Korean Peninsula. It was formed when the peninsula was divided after Japan's surrender in the Second World War, with the Soviet Union administering the north and the United States the south. In Iron Man 2, footage of a failed North Korean attempt to copy the Iron Man armor is shown to a Senate committee.
