N'Jobu
A prince of Wakanda and a War Dog posted undercover in Oakland, where he came to see his country's isolation as abandonment of the African diaspora.
N'Jobu is a prince of Wakanda, born to King Azzuri of the Golden Tribe, younger brother to T'Chaka, who inherits the throne. Princes serve, so N'Jobu serves: he joins the War Dogs, Wakanda's intelligence corps, and takes an undercover posting in Oakland, California. The assignment changes him. Living among people of African descent who have none of Wakanda's hidden abundance, watching them policed, imprisoned and left behind, N'Jobu comes to believe his country's isolation is not neutrality but abandonment. In 1992 his king crosses the ocean to his apartment door, and the accusation T'Chaka carries is treason: that N'Jobu revealed Wakanda to the arms dealer Ulysses Klaue and helped him steal a cache of vibranium.
