Nitramene

Howard Stark developed Nitramene after the Second World War and decided it was too dangerous to ever put on the market. He wrote the formula down and locked it in one of his vaults instead. What the compound does is implode. A typical Nitramene bomb clears a blast radius of five hundred yards and then pulls a vacuum at the center of it, so everything nearby is dragged inward to fill the void it has just made. It glows bright orange on reaching peak volatility, which is the point at which it wants handling with great care. It gives off vita radiation. Sodium hydrogen acetate will neutralize it, though the acetate cannot be allowed to touch the housing, because the core inside sits exposed to the air.
