Nakia Bahadir has known Kamala Khan since they were small and has an opinion about most things, delivered whether or not anyone asked for it. She goes to Coles Academic High School in Jersey City, where Bruno Carrelli rounds out the group and where Zoe Zimmer's rise to online popularity is a running irritation, and she will take a friendly bet against Kamala's driving test and then tell her she loves her anyway. The pull she actually lives with is between an American teenage life and her faith. It surfaces at the Islamic Masjid of Jersey City, where the women's section has been left in a state nobody in charge seems bothered by, and her answer is to stand for a seat on the mosque board and argue it from the inside.
