Before Terrigenesis, Locus meant to be a healer. Attilan does not work that way. The caste system there assigns a person by whatever Terrigenesis hands them, and what it handed Locus was echolocation, so she was put to work finding lost objects and lost people instead. She lets out a high pitched cry and reads what comes back, and in thick forest that is enough to pick out a specific person and track them. Being held away from the life she wanted left her with a standing resentment of the Inhuman Royal Family, which is why Maximus' promise to tear the system down found her ready to listen. She serves in the Royal Guard.
