Leet Brannis is a Leviathan operative sent to take Howard Stark's secret technology. He served as a soldier in the Soviet 478th Rifle Division during World War II and was listed as dead in 1944 when his battalion was wiped out on the battlefields of Germany, though he survived and joined Leviathan. His voice box was removed because of what Midnight Oil did to his larynx, and he speaks by holding a voice synthesizer to his throat. For the robbery he picked the night of a heavy thunderstorm in 1946, when New York City runs its storm water out through the sewers, and floated Stark's valuables on a raft from a hole cut beneath the mansion out to a boat waiting at sea.
