K'un-Lun

K'un-Lun is a city in another dimension, one of the Seven Capital Cities of Heaven, and its gate can be reached from the mountains of China once every fifteen years. The Order of the Crane Mother has held the city for more than two thousand years, studying the properties of chi and training those raised inside its walls. Its warrior monks learn under Lei Kung, the Thunderer. One of them may be chosen for the Trial of Shou-Lao, and whoever comes through it becomes the Iron Fist, sworn to guard the gate and to stand against the Hand, whose founders were cast out of the Order long ago.
