An ancient Kree failsafe left on Earth: a two-part orb that, once assembled and lit, signals dormant Kree Reapers in orbit to descend.
The Kree Beacon is an ancient device left on Earth by the Kree in the era when they experimented on early humanity. It was a failsafe: should the enhanced soldiers the Kree engineered ever turn on their masters, activating the beacon would transmit a signal to sleeping Kree Reapers waiting in orbit around the Sun, summoning executioners to Earth. The device separates into two components, a small orb and a larger base, and when assembled and activated the orb spins atop its pole and casts a beam of light into the sky visible to the naked eye. In the ancient rebellion the Kree feared, the beacon was stolen by the uprising's Inhuman commander before it could ever be used, and it passed through hidden hands for millennia.
