Katy Chen

Katy Chen, known in Mandarin as Chen Ruiwen, is a San Francisco native and the oldest friend of her high school classmate Shaun. Born in the late 1990s to a family of Chinese immigrants from Hunan, she met him at school, where she stepped between him and a bully by singing 'Hotel California' loudly enough to lift the bully's keys, then took the car for a joyride. The friendship stuck. A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, she parks cars as a valet at a San Francisco hotel alongside Shaun, and is stubborn enough to talk him into taking the guests' cars out for another run.
