Aboard the Orgoscope, the headquarters of OrgoCorp grown from living organic matter rather than built, Master Karja heads the station's security. He commands the Orgosentries, the armored guard corps that patrols the station's bio-formed corridors, and he takes the rank more seriously than his troops do: Karja is a blustery, self-regarding commander who quizzes subordinates on equipment he has invented on the spot and keeps up a running feud with a sentry named Kai-El, whose every remark irks him. In the field he backs the bluster with real skill, flying a powered suit and shooting with lethal accuracy.
