Kamar-Taj Librarian

The Kamar-Taj Librarian is a Master of the Mystic Arts who appears in Doctor Strange. He keeps the library at Kamar-Taj, the compound in Kathmandu where sorcerers train, and he is responsible for its collection of spell books, including the volumes chained to their shelves and the Ancient One's private holdings.

He is a practiced sorcerer, skilled enough in the eldritch magic taught there to be trusted with the books, and he can raise a shield or call a weapon into his hands on the instant. He works the shelves at all hours, keeps track of what has been borrowed, and steers students away from texts far above their level.
