Jimmy the Bear

Jimmy the Bear leads the New York City chapter of the Dogs of Hell out of the gang's clubhouse, and the clubhouse keeps a tattooed doorman for a reason. An unfamiliar face that gets past him ends up against the pool table being asked what business he thinks he has in here, and the answer rarely helps. A lawyer who turns up wanting a word with one of the members leaves with instructions passed to the crew that he be beaten for having shown his face at all. Jimmy arms himself with a handgun and a baseball bat, and he expects his men to collect their weapons and come outside with him when something happens in the street.
