Judge Fitzgerald Cooper, known around the New York courts as Jerry, sits on the bench of the New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan. A no-nonsense jurist with little patience for theatrics, Cooper comes to preside over one of the city's most charged cases: the prosecution of Hector Ayala, a man accused in the death of an off-duty police officer, with Matt Murdock arguing for the defense opposite prosecutor Benjamin Hochberg.
