Iron Monger Armor

The Iron Monger armor is Obadiah Stane's answer to the Iron Man suit, reverse-engineered from Stark's Mark I and cast in Omnium Steel. Where Stark treats his armor as a tool, Stane's reads as a weapons platform, and the shape follows the intent: it stands several times the height of the suit it came from and carries heavy ordnance on the arms and shoulders. It is also not worn. The pilot climbs in through the chest, which swings open along with the helmet, and flies it from a cockpit in the cavity, working the arms independently from inside. Its bulk is a consequence of its power supply, since the miniaturized arc reactor that runs the Iron Man armor could not be reproduced, and thrusters strong enough to lift all of it give it short hops or sustained flight.
