The Iron Man Armor Mark XLIV, better known as the Hulkbuster, is the suit Tony Stark built for the one opponent he hoped never to fight: the Hulk. Designed with Bruce Banner's own help, it is a modular shell worn over a standard armor rather than in place of one, powered by more than eleven Arc Reactors and deployed piece by piece from an orbital platform called Veronica. Everything about it is sized to its job. The arms carry hydraulic rams for hitting harder than any other suit can, an expanding restraint for trapping a limb, and canisters of sleeping gas, and if a section is smashed beyond use, Veronica drops a replacement from orbit to fly in and take its place.
