Hector Ayala is a New Yorker. He was born and raised in Puerto Rico, near Luquillo, a stretch of coast he calls the most beautiful place on Earth, and he holds on to the music of the island, which he plays and talks about with anyone who will listen.
Ayala moved to New York with his wife, and the couple share a home with his sister and her daughter. He enlisted in the United States Armed Forces, and after his service he worked as a certified public accountant for fifteen years. He is warm with his family, quick to step in when someone needs help, and stubborn about doing what he thinks is right.
