The Extremis Soldiers are former United States Armed Forces personnel enhanced with Extremis. Maya Hansen semi-stabilized the treatment with the help of Aldrich Killian, the head of A.I.M., and recruited amputees and other disabled people, most of them injured in military operations, as test subjects.
