Esther Smith

Esther Smith leads the Blood, a secretive order that exists for exactly one purpose: hunting demons. She did not come to the work as a scholar. Demons took her husband and her daughter, and what was left of her afterward went looking for the organization whose hatred matched her own, then rose to the top of it. Smith's rules are simple and unsentimental, and she extends exactly one courtesy: out of respect for the Caretaker, the Blood leaves the Helstrom siblings, Daimon and Ana, alone, on the strict condition that the two of them stay apart.
