Duane Porter is a New Orleans tradesman and the owner of Buildwell Wood Shop. As a teenager he made his living installing radio systems in cars and ran with Billy Johnson and Billy's younger brother Tyrone, the group splitting into teams for basketball, Porter and Rockwell against the Johnson brothers. He grew that early hustle into a small business, Buildwell, which rebuilds houses damaged by the storms that hit the city. When Tyrone turns up at the shop in 2017, Porter congratulates him on his play for St. Sebastian's Preparatory School and tells him to put the past down and build a future for himself, the way Porter did.
