The Sanctum is one of three such strongholds, in New York, London, and Hong Kong, whose standing wards shield the Earth from mystical threats, and its protector is chosen from among the order's best. Drumm is a steady, orthodox presence: he helps train novice sorcerers, joins missions to recover stolen relics alongside Masters like Wong and Tina Minoru, and meets doubts about the Ancient One's secretive methods with the same answer, that a Master's task is not to question her but to protect the world from what lies beyond it.
