Cloak

Tyrone Johnson is a student at St. Sebastian's Preparatory School in New Orleans and a player on its basketball team. The youngest child of Otis and Adina Johnson, he was named after his mother's grandfather and grew up idolizing his older brother Billy. As a boy he was caught in a wave of energy thrown off by the collapse of the Roxxon Gulf Platform in Lake Borgne, which left him able to manipulate Darkforce, a shadow-drawn power that can carry him clear across the city while he sleeps. His abilities are bound up with those of Tandy Bowen, a girl caught in the same wave who came away with powers of light; their hands met underwater as children, and when the two cross paths again years afterward he takes the name Cloak.
