Bor

Bor Burison was the second king of Asgard, son and successor of Buri, who ruled more than five thousand years before the modern age. His reign was defined by war with the Dark Elves: during a Convergence of the Nine Realms, the Dark Elf king Malekith sought to unleash the Aether, an ancient force that could return the universe to primordial darkness, and Bor led the Asgardian armies against him on Svartalfheim. At terrible cost, Bor's forces prevailed, and he seized the Aether before it could be used, ordering it hidden where no one would ever find it. He married Bestia and fathered three sons, among them Odin, and after Bor's death in battle the throne of Asgard passed to his son.
