Blackout

Marcus Daniels, known as Blackout, is a man able to absorb and manipulate energy. Born in New York on December 11, 1972, he took a science degree in physics and worked as an assistant to Abner Croit, and during an experiment involving a force called Darkforce he was caught in a lab accident that left him able to draw in any form of energy and turn it to his own power. The accident also left him unstable and obsessive, and he fixed on the cellist Audrey Nathan, calling her the only light in his darkness. S.H.I.E.L.D. learned of him and Phil Coulson put a stop to his pursuit, holding him at the Fridge, where the staff studied his abilities rather than treating him.
