Beto

Beto is a Skrull refugee. The Skrulls are a shapeshifting alien people left without a homeworld, and for decades a hidden population of them has lived on Earth in borrowed human faces, waiting on a promised new home that has not come. Beto's life as a displaced Skrull is a hard one, and he makes his way to New Skrullos, a compound in Russia where the Skrull leader Gravik offers his people refuge and purpose. Arriving as a newcomer, he is received by G'iah, who verifies what he is and introduces him to the community's ways, including its insistence on Skrull food and Skrull identity after lifetimes spent in disguise.
