Behemoth is a Hell Spawn, one of the genetically engineered enforcer creatures serving the High Evolutionary in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The antagonist is a scientist obsessed with remaking life into perfect forms, and the Hell Spawn are products of that work: living creatures rebuilt with cybernetic skeletons, augmented brains, and immense strength. Behemoth stands guard for Arete Laboratories, the High Evolutionary's research operation, working alongside a fellow Hell Spawn called War Pig. Equipped with a scanner for screening visitors and their weapons, he serves as muscle and gatekeeper for his creator's experiments.
