Barbara Shlottman

Barbara Shlottman is a mother from Omaha, the wife of Bob Shlottman and the mother of Hope and Owen. She and Bob raised their children to be frugal and to spend only when needed, and both were proud but anxious when their eldest left Omaha for college in New York City, worries Hope eased by calling home often with news of her track and field results and her roommate Mei. When the calls stop after Hope's birthday, Barbara talks Bob into travelling to New York to look for her, and when their own search turns up nothing she brings the case to the detective Jessica Jones at Alias Investigations.
